A photo for every person on the planet at Photobucket!

We passed a pretty cool milestone this weekend — we now have more than 7 Billion images stored on Photobucket. A wise person pointed out to me this weekend that's pretty much a photo for every person on the planet!

But what's special about Photobucket's 7 Billion number is how it relates to our number of linked images, photos, videos, and so forth.  Every month, there are 90 Billion requests made to Photobucket's servers to display linked images, photos and videos embedded in hundreds of thousands of blogs, Web pages and social media profiles around the Net.  That's 40,000 requests a second!

That includes requests for videos.  Our free users can upload as many free videos as they want — each video can be up to 5 minutes in length. Last time we checked, over 100M videos are played a month outside the Photobucket site.

Hats off to the Photobucket team in Denver for keeping those servers humming along with these dizzying numbers!

I would just like to say that I copy and pasted into my documents a graphic from glitter-graphics.com which this IS allowed!! Read their rules!! And now, photbucket has deleted my comment off of the url that I just put up. There was NOTHING derogatory about that comment and if it happens again? I WILL delete my account from photobucket and will use imageshack.us instead. It was just a graphic waiting and pointing down that and giving two thumbs up!! I merely used it for fun purposes on SingSnap.com. I WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS AGAIN!! UNDERSTOOD?
