New Search Page

We have implemented the new Search Page. From the main Photobucket.com page or from within the site, you can now search for photos or a specific album. In order for your pictures to be 'searchable', you must make your album public in your account options. You must also tag your pictures with a title or keyword. By default, the first word of any 'title' becomes the search term.

Unfortunately we had to stop specific sub albums searches due to picture theft of entire albums.

Enjoy!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Photobucket

I guess in our busy lives we don't realize how fast time flies. My dad dad reminded me that this website has been online for two years today, so Happy Birthday Photobucket! Its always fun to look back and see how far we've come.

I feel that the best is still to come as we have many exciting things coming over the next year. Many image hosting and online photo album sites have come and gone over the last few years. However, I can assure you that we aren't going anywhere!

Thanks to all of our members that have suppported us through the years.

Looking back....

- May 8, 2003 I registered photobucket.com
- July 13, 2003 hit 1,000 users
- September 20th, 2003 I added a second server
- February 1, 2004 Darren joined me as a partner
- February 20, 2004 hit 100,000 users
- June 1, 2004 moved onto our own infrastructure here in Denver
- June 17, 2004 hit 1,000,000 users
- October 12, 2004 launched the new site (same as today)
- September 15, 2004 added premium accounts
- December 2, 2004 hit 2,000,000 users
- March 20, 2005 hit 3,000,000 users

.... and here we are today growing faster and faster

Thursday Blues

We had some major network issues today, we are sorry. We were performing some routine "Non Effecting" maintenance to the network and something went wrong. When trying to back it out, it made things worse. Rather than things be unstable and 1/2 working, we took the site down to fix the network and test things before bringing it back up.

We have put a new policy in place as of today that all (even non service effecting maintenance) must happen during scheduled maintenance times which take place between 2-4am MST with advance notice.

Thanks for your continued support.

Alex
