We have added some additional security due to the large amount of hacked accounts. We now track the number of login attempt per username and IP address. After multiple failed attempts, that login is temporarily disabled. You must also be logged in to delete your account.
We continue improve Photobucket.com as a fun, secure, safe place to share photos.
Our network provider was doing a non service affecting maintenance at 4am when things went south. They had both their engineers and the NOC involved, things were resolved as quickly as possible.
The maintenance was to add a redundant supervisor card (or the brain of a Cisco Router) to ensure future uptime and availability. Ironically it caused an outage in doing so, sorry.

We have decided to get rid of all popups and popunders on Photobucket.com. They do help pay the bills but in the end, it wasn't worth it as many people were complaining about them.
