Site Issue Resolved: March 21st

Status as of 12:30PM Pacific Time: March 21st, 2007: During the night on March 20th 2007, a small percentage of Photobucket users experienced issues accessing their content.

The moment we were alerted to the issue, our special forces team worked through the night, and now the issue has been resolved.

No user should have experienced any data loss. There is no need to either make a new account, or re-upload your content.

Please know that we place the very highest priority on the reliability of our service. We fully appreciate that for those people who experienced an inaccessible account, this was frustrating and extremely inconvenient. Despite the volume of comments here, the number of users affected was only a small percentage of our overall user base. And every customer matters to Photobucket.

We truly appreciate your patience and thank you for choosing Photobucket.

If you have any specific questions, please email us at pbfeedback@photobucket.com.

After all the whining and complaining you guys have had to listen to--mine included--about this little temporary problem, I thought you might appreciate a Great Big THANK YOU, now that it's all been fixed!

[And, you were reasonably FAST about it, too!]

Thanks for fixing the problem! I thought it was something I did wrong! :D

Minor problem?
Patience?

Nothing minor about this, and it has been over 14 hours now!
Either fix this quickly or give us a refund!

It does not seem to me to be a small number of affected users, there are already many complaints from here, even people who paid for this services extra features. I am one of the affected users.

"small number of affected users" therefore, is more suggestive of the corporate attitude behind fixing the problem (apparently not worth it to do rapidly) instead of the actual quantity of effected users.

Anything over 30 people would fill the largest room in 99%* of the businesses in this country. Thats NOT a small number of potential customers, particularly if all of them are apparently highly vocal (as many PB users are) on the web...

*By actual number of businesses, not market cap. I am aware a few large companies own most of everything.

Should I just open a new photobucket? I need to have pics on my ebay auctions. It's going to mess up the sale of the items I have for sale.

This isn’t a minor problem to those of us who rely on our Photobucket accounts. I’m the administrator of a message board and nearly all our emoticons and banners are hosted through my Photobucket account, as well as a large number of images. I’m sick and tired of finding red x’s. I also find it odd that friends who have free accounts aren’t experiencing this. What’s the problem and when do you expect it to be fixed?

Are we going to be made privy to what sort of problem this was?

Just curious since I'm down and that's the nature of the beast.

Please, please tell me that the pics will be safe, because if I loose them I'll have an attack :/

any sign of this being resolved soon??????

I still cannot access my site and my pics,
my website and several other websites are still down!

thanks

Look, I'm really annoyed by this maintenance problem. I'd be grateful if you could look into it asap. I hold a free account, but how could that be an issue?

Thanks for resolving the situation quickly.

Regards

Thanks for all you do!

I'm glad that I'm not the only one having trouble^^' Please fix this asap. I have a minishop running and all the images are on photobucket, so it's a bunch of red Xs >.< Thank you for addressing the problem<3

I'm trying to post a comment, but it's not getting posted! Surely you can give some sort of timeframe! I have had minr issues before, but I pay you to keep my pictures safe and give a good service, but the problems seem to be getting bigger not smaller!
Thankyou for your help!

I don't know if questions will be answered here-- but is anyone else having a problem accessing their entire album?

i can't even get there to see it...

Ooooo, I thought I had been hit with the ban stick for no good reason. Good to know that my album will be restored soon.

I made another album so no pressure from me to restore it soon.

I am quite frustrated but I know you are working as hard as you can. Here's to getting the problem fixed as soon as possible.

Thanks!

It may be a "minor" problem to you, but to me it's pretty BIG!

However, I AM glad to see that you guys are on top of things and working to deal with it--

Here's hoping we can all sigh with relief in the very near future.....

Just sending some blessings, for God To give y'all the WISDOM to get the job done! I am a faithful Pro user! Frustrated that my account is down, BUT I do know how things can happen. HANG IN THERE and do what you gotta do! Hugzz , Danna ..<>< ..

I'm still not back on. been a day now..how much longer?? getting worried that all my photos have gone for good.

I cannot log in, but my linked photos are showing up on the message boards I use. Any reason that would happen?

Can we please have an update regarding the status of the site as of 3/21?

Your customer courtesy is greatly appreciated.

CM

My complete album seems to be gone.
Thanks for looking in the problem.

Well, my albums were working this morning and only went down in the last hour or so.

I hope this will be resolved quickly.

Thank you

Informing us about the issue is one thing - promising to solve the issue by March 20 another. I still cannot access my photobucket pro albums 48 hours later. Could you please kindly tell us how long you expect the issue to remain? Sharing pictures to me is most important in my capacity as a webmistress and moderator of a number of fangroups and fora.

Thank you for your reply and kind regards,

Dorothea

Thanks for taking the time to get this sorted out, I too cannot access my account and for the hobby that I am part of this site is a crucial part of what I do. I hope the issues can be sorted out soon as I have yet more images that I need to upload and link to various websites. Thank you.
