Make desktop background collages on Photobucket

We were watching a rather clever Photobucket user at work last night. She was using the built-in scrapbook tool on Photobucket to make a collage for her laptop desktop background picture.

We liked the idea so much, we wanted to share it with you too!

Go into the scrapbook tool -- click "scrapbooks" in the top menu bar.

Play with different backgrounds, stickers, themes. If you don't like any of the built-in themes, start with something blank. Be sure to choose "get stickers" and "get backgrounds" to get lots and lots of new stuff.

There are hundreds of stickers to play with! Our Photobucket user thought they were really fun.

Drag and drop pics of your favorite things onto the page.

Background Image

Just save one page (you can delete the others).

In Photobucket, you'll see a static JPG of the collage saved in its own album inside your account.  Use that JPG as your desktop background. It looks great!

are you talking about the small icon in my album?..when I saved it...it was a black screen w/ the scissors and cut dots instead of the scrapbook page!

Why is it so small after I make it? And so when I set it as my desktop background it's completely blurry?
Thanks

Hi Cheska. To save the scrapbook image, what you want to do is to go into the scrapblog scrapbooking tool. Then create your scrapbook page/collage. Usually it will save easier if you only do one page instead of mulitple pages.

Then when you are done, save the image. It will save a jpg into your photobucket account. Click on that image, and then right click and copy the image on to your computer's hard drive.

Then on your desktop right click and you should see properties, click on that. Go to the desktop tab, and then you can search your pc for the image and save it as the background image.

That's it! I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions/comments please contact our customer service department at support@photobucket.com. Thanks!

it didnt work..what are u even saying in the end i got confused but i got the first thing down.i just need to kmnow how to make it ur desktop background

It was a great idea, but didn't work for me. I deleted all the background selections except for the one I wanted to use, but they all still appear in the slideshow in my Photobucket account. Don't know what I did wrong...thought I followed the instructions to the letter, but obviously not.
Thanks.

I do not like the new dropdown under my photos. They make accessing the different codes for my photos very difficult. As soon as I move the curser down to the codes, the box disappears. I have to try over and over before I can click on a code, then the box usually disappears again and I have to try to access it again. NOT a good change.

Hi wintersimms. Thanks for the comment. I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with scrapblog.
