. . .-_-; The Movie, just. . it was to rush, and there was no chemistry once-so ever. Goodness, the characters that I actually found that I liked where the same characters I were wary about in the first book. D<
Rosalie, Emmette, Alice, and Jasper. . who, frankly, where the hell were his lines? D< The Lack of Alice annoyed me as well. Esmee- could also join the list, everyone else? Lame.
Again, D< Where the heck was the chemistry? Hell, Casey and Derek had more chemistry then Edward and Bella, and they're suppose to be 'step siblings! on Disney!' . . eh, then again, I think Casey and Derek have chemistry regardless.
As for the book, I thought it was wonderful the first time I read it. Then I re-read it and noticed.. some irksome things, but over-all I'll like to read it again.
But again, the movie? Ugh. No way.

The author copied some other story, except for teenagers... I'm truly surprised she got published! I would've done the same thing ten years ago if I had known! XD

The movie was awsome. Though the book was better and they cut out alot~ of parts =.=
Although i don't know why S. Meyer choose Robert as Edward, he's sort of ugly in real life, but in the movie he was awsome >.< and Bella was okay.

I have no opinion on the movie, as I've both not, and do not plan to see it. Ever. I do know that I read about 50 pages of the book and found the writing itself to be completely mediocre, to the point where the constant adverbs and passive tense made the story monotonous, so I just stopped reading it. I also have a pet peeve for people who address their parents by their first names.
Bella screams honking emobitch Mary Sue, too, but what do I know? I barely read it because I think Meyers has the writing ability of an 8th grader whose only noteworthy skill is using spell check.

I loved the movie! I mean, not everything in the books can be played in the movies. It was really good. The actors did great for their roles especially Robert, he's strikingly gorgeous. After seeing the movie all I could think about was getting my hands on the books, and I just finished the first one today, I got it yesterday in the morning and had to go through the suffering of trying to read it whenever I wasn't doing my schoolwork. But I got it read and know I'm going to get my hands on the second one soon! :]
All in all both movie and books are ah-ma-zing!

I absolutely LOVED the movie and I just finished reading the first book. I loved both of them, it's hard to choose which one I liked better. And I am in LOVE with Edward!!!!!

Well, I don't know about any of yall but i really loved the books. I thought they were all very interesting and very descriptive. I am only dissapointed in the fact that it's over and there won't be anymore books in the twilight series. I liked the movie but i think the special effects could have been cooler. I hope the other movies are good. The first may have been kinda not-so-great because it's hard to cram so much information into a 2 hour movie. I think that the movie was good, could have been better but with all that said, I still can't wait for the other movies to come out

it was good as a movie, if you didnt compare it to the book..........but if you did compare it to the book, then it sucked.

man u people got issues...I mean really u have to bash some person just to feel good about your selfs...just deal with it they r not going to change the movie because of what you said.

the books were absoluutely amazing!
but the movie ruuuuuined them. they edited it way too much.
they make four hour movies like pirates of the carribean, so why not twilight?
the acting wasn't great. the actors were beautiiiifuuul tho :)
but when there's books as good as twilight the movie obviously isn't gonna live up to it.
i love twilight, new moon, eclipse, and breaking dawn movie or no movie. :)
+edward is real, end of story so don't challenge me on thaaattttt.
;)

The book was shit. So was the movie.
'Nuff said.

If you are saying that twilight is stupid, then you are obviously just a rebel.
enough said!

Okay normally I don't like vampire type books but I have to admit that the twilight books were probably the best books I've read in quite a while. Maybe even the best books I've ever read.
The movie was good but no where near as good as the book was.

The movie was alright. People out there who keep judging it just by how bad it was should stop and realize that the movie was never going to be like the book. They did the best they could with what they had to work with. Although, I think they should of added more stuff from the book into the movie because some of it came off as cheesy and completely funny looking.

Alright. I have a different perspective to pretty much everyone here, I guess. It has become obvious that you can only either completely hate or completely love Twilight.
Honestly, I have become ashamed to say that I'm a fan of the books, because really, look at all of the girls on the side of love here, they're mostly illiterate and come off as stupid, whereas the hate side are (MOSTLY) literate.
I LOVE Anne Rice, all her books are amazing, but really, when Stephenie Meyer wrote Twilight, it was her first book. You can hardly expect her first book to be perfect. Each to his own, but personally, I like her take on vampires. So she wrote them differently than the norm. Big deal. My only beef is who they casted for Bella and Edward. I can't STAND Kristen Stewart and Rob just creeps me out.

Uggh. If you don`t like the movie you obioiusly have no heart, and if you don`t like it then why watch it in the first place huh. Seriously, the movie is a amazing romance story that is a inspiration to many teenagers.

it's not out in the UK yet!!!!!
but i adore the books, not usually a fan of first person writing either. I have to wait for breaking dawn to come back into the bookshop though >.<

The book has always been okay for me... the plot is nice, but if it was the best Stephenie Meyer could do, she's not a great writer at all.
I only watched the movie in order to get closer to a friend, and to look at the make out scene. Other than that, the movie was obviously rushed, it was out of order, and the effects weren't that great.

um ive nvr read it, but i dont rly like the concept. it may be good, but frm what ive seen, it doesnt rly appeal to me too much.

Kay the movie in my opinion was HORRRIBLEE,
they so rushed it and forgot some parts and Kristen as Bella...?
Wow that was a big no-no.
Robert Pattinson was okay for Edward but really.
Alice was my favorite character in the movie.
But whatever.
The books were so much better, I plan on reading The Host.
Don't know how that book must be...
No need to comment negatively on Stephenie Meyer's writing though.

The movie was okay. It somewhat quenched my obsession for "more twilight", but "somewhat" isn't satisfying enough for me. The actors playing Bella nad Edward were... dead. Just dead. No emotions whatsoever. It was a little pathetic, really. Although, the girl that played Alice was perfect, but thats about it. And I'm sick of all the little fan girls who didn't even read the book going "I lurve twilight, Edward is soooooooo hot!" Newsflash: Edward isn't even supposed to look like that actor in the first place. Hello? RED. CURLY. HAIR. Not the messy brown rat's nest that I saw on the screen. I mean, is hair dye really that hard to use? And what happedned to the "glowing pale skin"? The vampires skin tone looked like everyone else's! I will see the next movie, but only because I lack better things "Twilight". Don't judge the books by the movie, because the books are AMAZING. The movie... not so much.
