Photobucket and Sprint Announce One-Click Upload to Photobucket

Photobucket Just in time for back-to-school, Sprint and Photobucket have teamed up to allow Sprint customers to send digital photos straight from their phones to Photobucket, the leading stand-alone photo and video sharing site, in just one simple step.

It’s as easy as snapping a picture of the kids on their first day of school using your Sprint phone, then selecting Photobucket from the list of “Post to Service” options that pop up.  The photo automatically uploads to the customer’s Photobucket account, so family and friends can view it online anytime, no matter where they are.

The Photobucket feature is available on more than 30 Sprint phones, including the popular Samsung Instinct, LG Rumor, Motorola RAZR2, Sanyo Katana DLX, and more.

Unlimited use of the service is included at no additional cost for all Sprint Picture Mail subscribers, including customers on Simply Everything plans and Talk/Message/Data Share plans.

As the first U.S. carrier to launch a mobile photo sharing service, Sprint has always given its customers more ways to use their digital photos – from sending to other phones and email addresses in one simple step, to organizing and editing their pictures in online albums, to sending directly from the phone to be printed at one of 9000+ retail locations, including 5300 Walgreens stores.

Photobucket has more than 46 million users worldwide and more than 10 million personal photos,  images and videos are uploaded to Photobucket every day for sharing with family, friends and the online world. More information on Sprint Picture Mail is available at www.sprint.com/picturemail.  Additional details on Photobucket are available at http://blog.photobucket.com.

Mobile Upload to Group Albums Launches Today

Upload to Group Albums from Your Mobile Phone

So this is cool. Imagine a Group Album for your vacation or travels. Or for any wanderings when you're out and about on the streets. Phone it into your Group Album!

Phone in a pic of a great pair of shoes you bought, a fabulous view you saw, someone's strange hair-do while you're commuting to work, the hot date you just met.

Click on the "Mobile Phone" button on the right of the Upload panel. You'll see the unique email address associated with the Group Album. Use that Group Album email address to phone your photo into the Album.

mobile upload

All the same rules apply about approval of the images by the Group Album administrator (if that option has been set).

And you don't have to phone it in.  This email address works from your normal email client too. Just attach the photo to the email and send it in!

By the way, this feature works for all albums on Photobucket, not just Group Albums. Personal ones too. If you want to learn more about how to upload from a mobile phone, read this Tutorial.

Sending pics from your mobile phone to your album

People often ask us this, and so we thought we'd write a quick post. I's incredibly easy to take a pic with your mobile phone and have it appear instantly in your Photobucket album. Here's how:

Your Photobucket album has a unique email address associated with it. You can find that email address when you click on Account Options in the upper right corner of your album. It's a bit of a long email address, so make it a contact name in your phone book so you don't need to enter it every time.

Then, whenever you take a pic, send it by MMS email to that address. The pic will show up instantly in the album. It's really easy!

To see step by step instructions, take a look at this Tutorial in our Help system:
