Mandy Moore's Performance at Vintage High!

Yesterday morning, a few members of the Photobucket team had an extraordinary opportunity to meet and see Mandy Moore perform live at Napa Valley's Vintage High.

Mandy gave an exciting, energy packed, and awesome performance before a packed audience of the graduating class of 2007.

And gave some personal thanks and appreciation to Nikelle Riggs who created the winning remix with students and friends from her school.

Mandy also met with a few of the Photobucket team who were able to drive up for the event and autograph a Photobucket sign for us!

And for those Photobucket team members that couldn't be there, Mandy expressed her personal thanks as well.

Thanks Mandy! We totally love you!

Photobucket Announces Mandy Moore Video Mash-Up Winner

Photobucket is proud to announce the winner of the Mandy Moore "Extraordinary" Remix contest!

Vintage High School in Napa California is the proud winner of a free acoustic concert by Mandy Moore for their graduating class of 2007.   Watch their remix to see why their school won!

Mandy Moore called the winner last week and will be performing at their highschool this Thursday!

All other school entries will be receiving a signed poster for their participation.  Again, congrats on an "Extraordinary" video and "Extraordinary" graduating class!

Mandy Moore Video Remix Contest!

Contest announcement! Want to have Mandy Moore sing at your high school graduation this year? We're working with Mandy to promote her new hit single "Extraordinary" with a video remix contest that lets high school students showcase their schools, their stories, and their "extraordinary" lives to win a free performance by Mandy Moore!

This promotion is geared at the graduating class of 2007 and is in conjunction with our friends at MyYearbook.com

It's easy to enter:

1. Go to MyYearbook.com to read about the contest, and see if your high school is eligible.
2. Create a Photobucket Remix Video using your own videos and images.
   • Use the Mandy Moore Remix bin of images and videos to add Mandy images if you wish
   • Add Mandy Moore's hit "Extraordinary" as your remix video's soundtrack.
   • We encourage you to be creative and have fun with showing how your school is "Extraordinary" and why you should win!

Tomb Raider Chronicles and Coolness

The little gamer inside of us is thrilled to come across this promotion of Tomb Raider Chronicles using Photobucket to showcase some really fun fan art. 

Tomb Raider Chronicles has joined forces Eidos plc to bring you an exclusive competition whereby two lucky winners will have a chance to be immortalised in Tomb Raider history by having their own names appear in the credits of Tomb Raider Anniversary.                               

To take part, we're asking fans to download a stunning render of Lara Croft and dress up in their own country colours. Our Lara Croft render comes in three flavours.            Two JPEG versions (Lara on black and Lara on white) and a special transparent PSD for those with a flair for Adobe Photoshop.                               

Entries can be emailed or uploaded to www.photobucket.com, and posted on this  special thread on Tomb Raider Forums. The cream of the crop will be published exclusively on our Tomb Raider Anniversary microsite located here.

Some Photobucket User Highlights

It’s always been the people who use Photobucket every day that inspire us to work harder to create, improve, and build new features that lets individuals and communities connect and share their lives. It’s not just the rock stars like Mandy Moore, Fiona Apple, or Anthrax(still accepting entries for their best mullet memories).

It is the everyday users, teens, families, small business owners, and bloggers that remind us of our mission and that inspires us to keep moving forward.

Here are a few stories that caught our eyes.

Dave O’Brien, the yearbook photographer for Dover Highschool in 1970 recently reconnected with hundreds of alumni whom he hadn’t communicated with in years when he pulled together an album of his scanned photographs. Photographs of classmates, friends, teachers, and the bands that he’d followed over the years were all uploaded and shared from his Photobucket account. It’s an absolutely amazing time capsule.

Sam, a crafts artist who blogs at Gollywobbles.com has used Photobucket for quite some time and created a slide show gallery of her artwork that she’s successfully sold on Ebay --also using Photobucket.

Thousands and thousands of teens every day use Photobucket to decorate, customize, and personalize their web identities using background images for their MySpace templates, leaving funny comments, and searching for laughs. Our top search results are nearly always around glitters, sparkles, avatars and icons. Who knew that the phrase "Thanks for the Add" would become so ubiquitous?

And then there are the bloggers.
2000 Bloggers are listed on this fantastic project by Tino Buntic collecting headshots and links from around the blogosphere. All different people, all different interests, all different blogs. Just 2000 faces from the 55 million out there writing and blogging every day. And guess what, all these headshots are hosted on Photobucket too and we recognize quite a few as Photobucket users.
