It’s here… Download Album!

The wait is over! We are happy to announce the new Download Album feature has finally arrived. Whether its your own Photobucket account or another user’s account, you now can download an entire album’s worth of images in one fell swoop.

  • Navigate to your Library to view your albums.
  • Select the album you wish to download.
  • Look to the lower right corner of the page for the Album Actions list and click the Download Album link.

  • Validate that you are human by sliding the arrow.

  • Next, all of the images in your album will be gathered and compressed into a .zip file. The next page you’ll see will prompt you to download the compressed file.

Note: If you have a lot of images, it may take a little while to compress. We’ll notify you via email when the file is ready to download. Make sure your Photobucket account is updated with your current email address. Click here to learn more about changing your email address.

  • After downloading the compressed file to your computer, unzip it and view your pics.

Note: You may need a third party utility to decompress the .zip file. Click here to learn more.

Currently, this feature only works with images. Your videos and GIFs will need to be downloaded individually. Click here to learn more about individually downloading media.

If you wish to keep the download album option hidden from other users viewing your photos, you will need to make your albums private. Click here to learn more about changing album privacy.

    I have re-read the last paragraph and it still doesn’t make any sense to me.
    Please clarify “…you will need to make your albums are private.” Huh?

      Hello Howard,

      Sorry for the confusion.

      If your albums are set to “public” other users will be able to download those public albums. If you do not wish to give users that ability, set your albums to “private”.

      Every album will have the “Download Album” function to the right. So feel free to download all of your photos!

    For about a month now,every time my “searching for new photos” and downloading my new photo’s automatically is not working..I am having to add them one at a time.Please tell me what to do as I have a paid account and many pictures.

    I would only have to set my photo album to private if I was downloading the files to my Photo Bucket account right? If i’m downloading it to a album on my computer it is private

    Tried it – about a dozen times – I get a popup at the top that said initially

    “this album has no images to download” wrong that album has 120 jpgs in it

    tried it again a bit later – new message saying

    “Hmmm. Something didn’t click. Want to give it another shot? Try again now”

    I tried again about a dozen times – nada

    The Photobucket download is great but 1. how do I keep the pictures in the order I have them on Photobucket (pictures from several sources, arranged in custom order) and 2. How do I recover the heavily researched captions?
