Digital photo organization can be very time consuming.  Our new organize tools make it more fast and easier than ever to curate, organize, and print your precious digital memories however you see fit.  Think of your Photobucket library as your own personal memory gallery, waiting to be dusted off and brought to light.

Here’s what’s new in your library:

  • Check marks when you hover over images make it easy to start selecting (including iPad support!)

Organize Tools

  • New fancy toolbar with more bulk actions than you can shake a stick at, including:
    • Print:  Select your favorite memories across multiple albums and print them as high quality Photo Books, Canvas Prints, Home Decor, Photo Gifts and more.  The photos you’ve selected will stick with you all the way through a product selection, making it really easy to get the product you want, with the photos you want.
    • Move:  Get your photos out of your bucket and into an album.  You can select an existing album to move your images to, or you can create a new one right in the window. A photo tray and image count to show a preview of everything you’ve selected.
    • Delete:  That series of photos you took of your feet by accident probably needs to go.
    • Copy:  My personal favorite addition.  You no longer need to copy photos one at a time.
    • Rotate: Rotate multiple photos at once.
    • Link: Grab all the individual links you need for forums, blogs, ebay, etc, with the updated window (see below).

  • Action windows have been updated with a cleaner design, including a filmstrip that allows you to modify your choices before taking an action.
  • Select photos from multiple albums in your library, rather than just one.

    Another request to PLEASE bring back the organize tool so I can view an entire album on one page, and then select a group of the photos for links. I use Photobucket for ebay listings and now have to scroll page by page to find them. This is terribly inconvenient and makes me want to switch services.

    Hi – this seems to be a place you can arrange to have someone from Photobucket Support contact you so I’m going to describe my problem and hope it will get passed on…
    I’m trying to give a Title and a Description, one at a time, to the pictures in my first (and only) album. Sometimes the info I type in is still there when I come back to a picture but many times all the stuff I typed is GONE. I’ve searched the Help database and can’t find any reference to this problem. Oh – and some text from Photobucket appears right after clicking the checkmark to keep a title or description, it says: Ooops Something did not click right. Try again now

    Very frustrating and spending a lot of time on this so hope someone can help –

    I agree with so many here. Without the ability to toggle so we can see the full page like we did before, renders Photobucket practically useless – unless spending ten times longer clicking through pages and pages to find a picture is your idea of “useful.”

    Before all I had to do was Ctrl F to find the name of the image I was looking for – and in seconds, there it was. Now? Forget it.

    Please bring the toggle full page back!

    I have tried several times to upload 43 images of a car while preserving their order. I realize now that this is impossible. They all load into the photo bucket jn a jumbled order. VERY frustrating when you have created a sequence of photos touring a car for sale. So I painstakingly reordered them all in a new folder in photo bucket only to have the loading bar go halfway and stick there. This has happened every time and the images in the folder are still random. What is the problem with manual order? I also tried loading them one by one into photo bucket and organizing them by newest or oldest but this has nothing to do with age of when they were added to photo bucket apparently because they still shuffle the images. With Dropbox I can drag drop and have them be in order from my desktop to the folder.

    Ugh. Another plea to bring back to organize toggle. I tried ‘Sort Manually’ but when I click done, it goes back to the original order, before I spent a half hour sorting. The drop down does say ‘Custom’ now so at least PB feels like it did something. Put. The. Candle. Back.

    Thanks for responding to my post. What I found as a small help on this problem is definitely not going to solve our problems. Hope it helped someone.
    Photobucket really needs to bring back the Organize toggle so that we have the same quality of site that we had before this change.
    What I don’t understand is why Photobucket is not responding to our direct questions about losing this option. It seems like we are all going around in circles with them telling us how great the new changes are and never addressing the loss of this very important feature. I want to know…….Can they bring back this feature. Will they bring back the feature. Are they listening to us. Please let us know Photobucket.

      Why is it that every time photobucket does an ‘improvement’ it makes my life harder. I also would like the Organise feature to be returned. I have managed to get the thumbnails up – thank you sonny for the info – but it is still not ideal. ‘Small changes big improvements’ – er no I don’t think so.

    Thanks Sonny, appreciate your efforts … but sadly doesn’t work for me. I was so hopeful:) I have security pictures from numerous cameras FTP uploading and I need to manually select and delete thousands of photographs each day on several folders. I use to be able to select all and glance down the page and bulk delete. I have as a resut of this change now got a deteriorating stiffness in the fingers as I’m now spending hours doing what use to take moments. This is PBs idea of “listening to the customer” It is disgraceful.

    Thanks Sonny..I had found that too but it doesn’t solve the problem. you can only see the stuff but can’t click on any and get a link like you could before. Just looking unfortunately doesn’t solve the issue. For example..In our paint shop pro groups there might be a challenge to “show all the tags you have made with blondes in purple” before, that was easy..click on the organizer.. you can see them all and then you can click on each one and get an image link and move to the next. You don’t leave any out and you can see all the ones you need to post at once. You don’t have to click through 10 pages waiting for each page to load. That is archaic!! An improvement in a site should be moving things forward..not backward to a harder way of doing things! Please make this possible again PB. There aren’t enough hours in the day as it is without making our tasks take twice as long!!!

    Missing Organize Button…… Please Read……
    This message is for all of you Photobucket Users that have been requesting that they return the Organize Toggle so we can view our complete albums on one page. After emailing them several times and getting no suitable response (they acted like they did not understand what feature I was talking about)
    I have figured out a way to view the whole album. Not as good as the old way, but I think it will work for me. I hope it helps some of you. Click on the check mark on the bottom right of any of your photos…..Then go to the upper Right of your page click on “Select All” ……….. If you look at the new organize menu bar down on the bottom Left you will see a thumbnail photo with the number of photos in your album. Click on the arrow next to that number and it will bring up a thumbnail photo of all of the pictures in your album. It’s not as good as the old way, but maybe it will work for some of you. Hope this helps.

    I hate what you have done with the organizer. Clearly the people that make changes to the site don’t work with it on a daily basis.If I am needing to post something in a forum, I need to see ALL the pages in the album..not just one at a time so I can select the things I need to and get the codes to post them. This is the worst change you have ever made in my several years I have been a member of photobucket! I would ask to please bring back the toggle switch so I can do this but I am pretty sure that as in previous years the changes you have made aren’t negotiable and we are expected to just deal with it. I can see from other posts that this feature was very important to many people doing many businesses..why would you take it away and completely ruin the best feature you had???? Why do you always feel that you need to make changes to awesome things? This really is the worst change in history!!!

    I am using both approaches. Using the select all button and using the mouse and fn.

    Your support is unable to help.

    With respect you are still deflecting the problem I guess because you can’t do anything about it. Not being able to view all pictures in a folder at the same time as before isn’t an improvement. It is taking a useful function away for no reason. No one asked you to remove the function did they?

    The on/off toggle for Organize is much better than this update. It is much easier to find the photos you want with the whole view album and choose the photos you want than to sort every page just to find the photo. I hope you bring back that old feature.

    I’m sorry Jessica, but what you have said isn’t correct at all. If I select a single picture and then use select all, a new error message comes up asking me whether I wish to leave the page or stay on it. These messages are generated by PB’s web page and didn’t exist before. Whichever I chooose doesn’t select either all pictures on either the current page or on all pages but leaves a single picture selected. I then have to resize the frame in order to see the move or delete options. Nothing within the “improved” web site allows me to easily do what I was previously easily able to do. Please don’t deflect me here and tell me to ask for support. It feels like deflection and the pretence of support. I received replies to my first messages but haven’t since and it seems clear that I will not receive replies to my later ones because it is is clear that PB have made the changes, they make the service worst. No one in PB asked me and my requests to revert to the earlier version are now being simply ignored. I’m a long-term paying (not free) customer and you have improved the service and managed to make it unusable. Not your fault personally – but PB. 🙁

      Just to confirm, you are selecting an image and then clicking on the button at the top right that says “Select All”? Then you are receiving a redirect message? If so, that is not as designed and our Support team is there to help dig in to identify the source of such technical issues.     I see by the above comments that you have removed a feature that is extremely important to me. I need the organize toggle back. This toggle allowed us to view the entire album on one page. This is a very important feature when you have a lot of albums and pictures to quickly view them and locate what you are looking for. Having to look at each page of each album is to time consuming, impossible and totally unacceptable. Please bring back this feature. It is important to many of your users.

    I am really perplexed about why PB has done this. It has changed a site I pay for and can work with to a site almost impossible for me to use. The inability to edit all pictures in a folder at the same time – but only select them page by page has made my life a lot worst. I’m having countless problems with the new version compared to the old … even uploading from PC but not ipad is a new issue. I do not understand why PB doesn’t give me the choise of reverting to the previous version rather than impose an inferior version on me that effectively makes the service unusable. I’ve tried suppport but what can they do?

      You may select all images in an album. Once you’ve selected one image, you can click on “Select All” in the top right corner. We’ve updated this feature to make it easier to select your photos and perform bulk actions, so I am sorry to hear you are having usability issues.         stop saying you guys made it easier when in fact everyone who uses does not agree.Whoever runs photobucket should take actions soon or will lose alot of paying customers.I have no reason to use a upgraded account anymore if i dont have this feature.

    Have you removed the option to tag a photo? I see the “tags” link at the bottom to view existing tagged photos. Cannot find the option to add a new tag.

    My albums are suddenly loading very slowly and some pictures are not visible at all. This just started today. Perhaps you are currently doing maintenance?

    Wow this has been one of the worst updates. The lag has been incredible the past few months, half the time my images show up broken in preview and I have to refresh which takes even more time for the page to load. And then this update is the most redundant thing I’ve seen in a long time.

    I miss the ability to easily add a title using the on/off switch. I’ve had the trouble where when I go into the picture to add a title, I save it, but sometimes it shows up on the next picture rather than the one I had originally clicked. Frustrating.

    Why is there now both a checkmark and a list menu? Why not combine it into EITHER a checkmark or list menu? And while not part of the most recent update, I have always hated how linking to an image takes you not just to the image, but the page of the image.

    I truly think the Photobucket team needs to rethink some of these updates. Each new update makes me seriously think about moving elsewhere because it is getting progressively harder to load and use the site. Which is a shame since I’ve used this site for so long to host my images.

      We are very sorry to hear these frustrations, but do appreciate the feedback. The checkmarks are designed for selecting multiple images at a time to perform bulk organizing actions. The list menu is meant to quickly take action on just a single photo. If you move your mouse to the right or left of your album, the list and check mark icons will disappear, hopefully improving the visibility of your photos.     It would be nice if the new organization actually worked? But not only are the huge checkmarks ugly (which makes browsing images from the album itself less enjoyable because every image is marred by a huge checkmark that I don’t appear to be able to turn off), but they don’t actually work when I click them. Yes, I know the issue is likely on my end but when you update things, I shouldn’t have to spend hours trying to figure out what is no longer working on my end, because everything was fine before the update.

      After a few more days trying to figure out the new organizing tools and being frustrated about the appearance, I realized (by checking photobucket on another machine) that this feature is totally broken for me. I didn’t even realize the checkmark and list icons were only meant to show up on hover until working on my albums on a different laptop because on my main device, they are just always there. Ugly and unclickable.

      On one hand I guess it means the update wasn’t as ugly as I thought it was. On the other, it still means the update is worse than I thought since it’s not working, you know, at all. Unless I want to use IE, which I don’t. But apparently it’s the only browser this update will work for on this device (does anyone actually use IE anymore??).

      Since I really have no desire to switch to another browser whenever I want to use photobucket, and I’m not going to wait until you get another lousy update patched up and actually working properly for all browsers and devices, I’m just done. I’ve canceled my paid account and will be moving the majority of the images from there to another site. With constant updates that I hate coupled with the amount of times images show up as broken, or times that PB is laggy, slow or completely down, this site isn’t worth it.

          The recent change to your Photobucket library was designed to improve your experience while organizing photos. Although there is no longer an “On” or “Off” option for organizing, you will be able to do all of the organizing actions you did before by just selecting your photos straight from the album.             For those of us using your service in the main for serving photos to auction sites your removal of the see the entire directory at one time and link is a deal breaker. That you make changes and don’t inform us is very troubling. You are telling us you don’t care what we want, think or need, you are going to shove it down our throats like it or lump it. That is not the photobucket I migrated to several years ago. Now sorting only allows us to sort, no more can we link from the entire directory.

            The other day the ability to link and copy to clip board was removed and you didn’t tell anyone. This has to stop or you are losing me and probably many others.

    What happened to the on/off toggle so that titles can easily be changed. Now you have to click on the photo, wait for it to come up, change the title, then hit the back button. Takes much longer. Also, after the last change, photos always come up cropped and the title doesn’t show below photo.

      You can no longer add titles from thumbnail view, but this feedback is helpful. If you would like to always view a full thumbnail, you can set your account to Easy Linking mode. You can find this in your settings, under the albums tab — “Turn on easy linking mode.” This will show the full thumbnails and links for each image in your album.

    This update has been the worst so far among the many Photobucket updates I have experienced over the past three years.

    When the images are sorted manually in an album, in my case when I try to grab links of the images, the order I manually sorted them in is not reflected in the links. Instead the links are in some mumble jumble order. What is the point for me to manually sort the images, just so that the link grab process does not reflect them??? That makes absolutely zero logical sense.

    Lastly, every one of these past updates just like today’s, is dictated to the user. There is no choice as the switch is made for us, even premium account users. It just saddens me to no end that stuff like this happens, when something that was literally working perfectly before now does not, and I had no choice today but to start a ImageShack account and pay for that subscription when Photobucket has been working flawlessly for years.

    Just absolutely terrible.

        Thanks Jessica. After reading your reply, I went back and individually clicked on each image, and indeed as you said, the order follows the order I select the check mark on each image. That was a very helpful post, thank you!

        However, if I needed to grab links say for 100 images, now in order to get the right order, I have to click on 100 images separately, whereas before I could sort them by filename, and click on the first image, hold shift and click on the last image and all images would be selected in the order I already arranged them in (by filename for example). That said, I never grab 100 links, but the old function was useful in that regard, though I can see the functionality of the new checkmark system in moving images across albums.

        I’ve been a Photobucket user for 11 years…have a fee pay / premium account.
        And from time to time whenever big system changes were made, there were usually some problems but they usually got settled down before too long.
        This latest large scale change has caused a serious problem for me:
        I can no longer manually sort photos in my albums because the old way was taken away fro me and the new MANUAL SORT feature does not work for me.

        I bring up MANUAL SORT, click on a photo, drag it to where I want it, the intensified copy with the blue tab follows, but when I release it to “drop it” in it’s new location, it doesn’t drop, it just disappears from the screen, and the original remains it its original position with the highlight border around it from when I selected it.

        I use modern high speed equipment, high speed networks, auto updates on all software, fails with multiple browsers, cookies & cache have been cleared multiple times, javsascript is enabled, etc, etc, etc…everything suggested by Photobucket Support has been checked, was already in place, rechecked, etc…everything is as it should be.
        MANUAL SORT still does not work.

        THEN finally…to eliminate any continued Photobucket claims that my PC, my software, or my network must be the problem, I SHUT THEM ALL OFF…LITERALLY POWERED THEM ALL OFF…PC, AT&T NETWORK ROUTER, ETC…then I connected to Photobucket via my iPhone 6Plus using only the Verizon 4G Network…and MANUAL SORT still fails the exact same way.

        If it fails with my PC, my PC software mix, and my network.
        And if it also fails with my Apple iPhone 6Plus and Verizon’s 4G network.
        The conclusion that I draw is the common denominator is Photobucket.

        Can you please get someone at Photobucket to roll up their sleeves and figure out why MANUAL SORT does not work for me no matter what PC or iPhone or network I use?

        Here’s hoping I don’t have to leave Photobucket to find a Host that let’s me do something as simple as manually sort my photos like I used to be able to do.
