Every group you're in has a photo problem, but you probably don't even realize it.
Picture this: the memories from your latest vacation with friends are scattered across four camera rolls. Your cousin took the group family photo where your grandmother's eyes are open, but nobody remembers whose phone it was taken on. (Hmm, was it Jimothy’s?) A few team parents posted winning goal photos and videos, but you’re not sure which parents. Your workout instructor took a cute class photo, but forgot to send it to you afterwards. When you finally get a chance to look at the group chat photos, they’re squished into blurry little thumbnails so you’re not even sure who you’re looking at and why everyone thought it was so funny.
You deserve better, so we built something that fixes all of that. Today we're introducing Groupsy by Photobucket — built for private group photo sharing.
Groupsy gives every group in your life its own private space for sharing and enjoying photos and videos. It’s not a public feed where you’ll feel pressure to post only the perfect photos, a group chat that buries everything and goes off in 17 different directions, or a storage folder you'll forget about days after you’ve dumped photos in.
Groupsy is a shared place where the people who were there share moments with the people who want to see what happened. Members in Groups can add their own photos and videos, react to each other's, and find and relive great memories day after day, year after year.
Who is Groupsy for
It’s for your family, your friends, your team, your crew. You know, the people who matter most to you. The ones who get you, the real you. The people you want to stay close with over shared memories and real connections, no matter the distance between you. These groups already exist. Groupsy just gives them somewhere better to share in, together.
Since 2003, more than 70 million people have trusted Photobucket to keep their memories safe, uncompressed, and private. We've protected over 14 billion photos and videos, and we've done it while maintaining a carbon-neutral footprint.
But storing memories and sharing them are two different things.
Photobucket already made storing and saving your photos easy. Groupsy is our answer to making sharing them enjoyable, easy, and fun — built on the same infrastructure, by the same people, with the same privacy promise about who your photos belong to. You.
Introducing Groupsy by Photobucket: private spaces for the people who matter most and the real moments you share. No algorithms, no strangers, and no outside noise. It’s just for your people, sharing your moments, in your private space.
Groupsy FAQs
What happened to Photobucket? Don’t worry, Photobucket is still here. Groupsy is simply our new group-sharing experience, built on Photobucket's infrastructure and backed by the same team that's been safeguarding photos since 2003. If you're an existing Photobucket member, you won’t need a new account or password. Just use your Photobucket login the same way you always did to get access to Groupsy.
Is Groupsy free? You can start a new account with a free plan! You’ll be able to join and participate in unlimited Groups, get your own personal Library, create 3 shared Groups, and build Albums in your personal Library as well as your shared Groups. Invite an unlimited number of people who can join your Groups, also for free. When you’re ready to get more for your Groups, the Plus plan gives you more features and additional storage when you're ready to upgrade.
Does everyone need a paid plan? Nope! Anyone you invite can join and participate in a Group using only a free account. Start for free without worrying about keeping track of a free trial period. And if you want, upgrading to the Plus plan is available to all users –– new ones and people who already have been enjoying Groupsy for free.
What is a Group? Groups are your private, invite-only spaces for the people who matter most to you. Albums can be created inside Groups, so you can organize photos and videos with the people who shared those moments with you. (For more detailed organization, you can also create Sub-Albums within Albums. Each account also comes with a personal Library, where you can upload your own photos and videos, and create Albums, just for your eyes only.)
Will Groupsy compress my photos and videos? We will not. We promise to keep your photos and videos safe without any loss of quality. What you upload and what you download never changes, so every upload keeps its original quality. This means your photos and videos won’t get blurry, compressed, or pixelated.
